UPPING YOUR GAME
PLYMOUTH Argyle Community Trust is pleased to announce the launch of their new project, creating more opportunities for young people to play football across the city for FREE.
Working in partnership with Affinity Sutton Housing and Colebrook SW, PAFC coaches will soon be delivering their popular street-soccer sessions at William Sutton Memorial Hall, St Budeaux.
The project launched on September 16, 2015, our highly-qualified team of coaches will be offering exciting sessions for all young people aged 7-25. Sessions will include practical skill sessions, matches and the chance to represent Plymouth Argyle in city-wide tournaments.
“We are very excited to team up with Affinity Sutton Housing and Colebrook SW to continue to roll out our successful estates programme,” said Argyle’s Social Inclusion Manager Dwain Morgan.
“Each session will be focused around creating a fun environment, where people can come and practice their skills under the guidance of professional coaches. Sessions are free of charge and open to all levels of ability.”
Aside from the practical football opportunities, participants will also get the opportunity to gain sport-specific qualifications. Each session will create chances to volunteer for Plymouth Argyle, as well as enrol on coaching and multi-sport accreditations.
It is hoped that through this unique mix of practical football and education opportunities, the Plymouth Argyle Community Trust will help to build healthier, more employable communities.
