Seasonal job opportunity.

Argyle Community Trust NCS Team Leader (TL) is responsible for the overall running of the programme, the management of assistant team leader and volunteers, and the pastoral care and development of young people aged 16-17 from a wide variety of backgrounds. The TL is supported with behaviour management by the Assistant Team Leader (ATL) during the delivery of the residential parts of our programme.

This role is suitable for an exceptional people manager with significant experience of working with young people.

The Team Leader will:

Act as the face of the programme to all staff and participants
Manage up to 15 staff throughout the programme to ensure the highest quality facilitation and pastoral care for all participants (including support and development)
Manage timings and processes to ensure the programme runs to schedule
Work closely with core staff to ensure effective delivery of the programme including its curriculum of activities.
Work residentially during the NCS Phase 1 and Phase 2 elements of the programme and Non Residentially during Phase 3 and 4.
Participate alongside our young people on a variety of outdoor activities, for example, rock climbing or kayaking during Phases 1 and 2.

All meals and accommodation are provided during Phase 1 and 2 but no meals are provided during Phases 3 and 4.

During the residential parts of the programme the Team Leader is the lead on the safety and engagement of all young people. For this reason, you should be prepared for long working hours.
