ARGYLE Community Trust would like to thank the ASDA store in Estover, Plymouth for allowing us to partake in a bag-packing fundraiser for our Junior Disability team.
The event has been an excellent opportunity to raise public awareness and hopefully attract new players to the Junior Disability team.
Cheryl Wotton is one of the parents involved in the event and she paid tribute to ASDA for giving us the opportunity to raise funds for equipment, kit and social events.
“A group of us parents got together while watching our children train and decided it would be good to raise some money for new equipment to make the training sessions a little bit more fun,” said Cheryl.
“We also wanted to provide the children with a new kit to increase their pride in being part of the team, as well as funds for a Christmas Party.
“A couple of the parents nominated our team for the Community Collection scheme at ASDA and we were very grateful to be accepted as one of their charities.”
Argyle Community Trust would also like to thank the children, parents and carers for all their support and effort on the day. To find out more about Disability Football at Argyle, please contact community@pafc.co.uk or call 01752 562561 ext.4
