Argyle Community Trust are pleased to announce that we were named the Best Football Community Scheme, non-Premier League, at the 2024 Football Business Awards.
On Friday, Trust, Plymouth Argyle, and Ginsters staff attended the ceremony at the Brewery in London and claimed the trophy on stage in front of a packed audience.
The Trust’s hard work and dedication to inspire, engage and help people of all ages achieve their full potential handed them the award. Joining us as finalists were: Birmingham City FC, Bloomsbury Football, Dons Local Action Group, The Russell Martin Foundation, and the SPFL Trust.
Mark Lovell, Chief Executive Officer at Argyle Community Trust, said: “We are extremely proud to be named the Best Football Community Scheme. To be recognised for all of our hard work and dedication in the South West is something everyone in the Trust should be immensely pleased with.
“We have taken further strides over the last year with our range of activities and support for the local community, which have positively impacted thousands of lives in Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall.
“We are thankful to our partners and stakeholders for their aid and pleased to be able to assist our communities as we continue to make a difference to members of our community and further afar.
“This recognition is a testament to all the hardworking staff and the work they do every day across the South West.”
The Trust were also a finalist for the Best Corporate Social Responsibility Scheme for Project 35, whilst Argyle’s Gold Standard Home Shirt promotion was in the running for Best Club Marketing Campaign.
