Eco-friendly tech partnership with The iOutlet supporting local community groups

Argyle Community Trust is delighted to announce a new partnership with award-winning, refurbished tech retail and distribution specialists The iOutlet which will provide access to devices for disadvantaged community groups.

The partnership has seen The iOutlet kindly donate 15 iPads to the Trust to support local schools, community groups, and young people in education sessions.

The iOutlet focus on refurbished technology, offering a wide variety of products across several different categories, and distributing across 40 countries in their fight to decrease e-waste.

The collaboration with the Trust aims to support young people facing barriers to mainstream education opportunities. These include those who may struggle to become involved in community sessions based on hardships in school or facing household deprivation.

Russell Jones, Sales Director at The iOutlet, said: “It’s been brilliant to come down to The Hub at Foulston Park and meet Dwain, Gareth, and their team. It really is fascinating to see the work they do and understand how our iPad donation will actually help make a difference.

“I was not aware just how much goes on here outside of football. It is incredibly impressive.

The partnership hopes to raise young people’s educational aspirations by using technology in a creative way to teach employment, and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) skills.
