Initiatives for local schools
THERE are a range of initiatives available to local schools, where Argyle Community Trust can make a significant contribution to student experience, as well as providing valuable learning outcomes for students.
The Community Trust offers PPA, enrichment programmes PHSE activities and attainment programmes for both primary and secondary schools. Using the power of football we utilise all football elements to provide educational learning, lifelong skills, citizenship and also to improve and encourage good conduct and behaviour in all aspects of life.
Some of our work helps schools achieve awards such as the Healthy Schools Status among other nationally recognised awards.
Opening the doors to Home Park
Special education days at Home Park open the doors to a professional football environment, introducing young people to the work of the Trust and also the backroom operation in a sports setting. We host collapsed curriculum days for schools covering subject areas like numeracy or literacy. We also run healthy eating themed days, or workshops aimed at improving pupils’ confidence and raising their aspirations.
