Providing opportunities for female football
ARGYLE Community Trust is committed to providing more opportunities for females across the region to get involved with sport.
From the very youngest age groups right through to Plymouth Argyle Ladies first-team, we aim to provide clear pathways for players to develop their skills and knowledge of football.

We currently run 12 Premier League Girls Football sessions based in a number of venues and we are proud to have reached 350 new female participants over the past 12 months, through our PL Girls programme.
We are delighted to have our first ever Girls Academy starting in September and to be run in partnership with City College Plymouth.
Open to those of school-leaving age, participants will be offered a range of A Level and BTEC courses to study alongside a thorough football programme, which will include three training sessions each week from our UEFA qualified coaching staff.
We will also enter a team in the EFL National League, competing against education programmes from clubs across the country. The course will not prevent girls from playing at their regular clubs outside of College.
In addition to this, the Trust also provides an Advanced Development Centre for girls who participate in a number of competitive games against other professional football clubs. The Trust is continually aiming to improve its offer to females across Devon and Cornwall working with the both County FA’s, councils, schools and County Sports partnerships to improve accessibility and meet the needs for females.
