18 + EMPLOYABILITY
Our free and unique Sport Works employability programme at the Argyle Community Trust is designed to support jobseekers across Devon and Cornwall in finding work by raising skills and confidence while assisting learners throughout the application to work process.
We currently offer these courses in the following locations; St Austell, Callington, Liskeard, Looe, Newquay, Launceston, Bude and Bodmin, we also run a ‘Get Set To Shine’ course in Plymouth through our partnership with Petroc College.
Designed to increase motivation and self esteem amongst participants, our interactive Sports Works course consists of a mixture of classroom, practical and physical activities which all enable participants to enhance their employment prospects.
Delivered from Home Park and the Trust’s outreach sites across the Devon and Cornwall, the programme has helped more than one in three learners find a job during or within six weeks of finishing the course with local businesses.
