Plymouth Argyle Women Player Pathway
Argyle Community Trust is committed to providing more opportunities for females across the region to get involved with sport.
From the very youngest age groups right through to Plymouth Argyle Women, we aim to provide clear pathways for players to develop their skills and knowledge of football.

Plymouth Argyle Women offer a clear player pathway within the club starting from under 9s through to the women’s first-team.
The player pathway begins with our after school clubs and Wildcat Centres which run across Plymouth which then leads to our Player Development Centres which are based at Ivybridge Rugby Club on Wednesday evenings and Stoke Damerel Community College on Friday evenings.
We have two strands to our girls academy which are the Advanced Development Centre (under 9s, 10s, 12s, 14s, and 16s) and our new Emerging Talent Centre (Under 10s, 11s, and 12s). These sessions are invite only and consist of regular training and fixture programmes.
The ADC and ETC feed in to our Girls Post 16 Football and Education Programme.
The Post 16 Programme then leads to opportunities for players to join the women’s under 23s or first-team.
Plymouth Argyle Women currently play in tier 3 of the women’s football pyramid in the FA National League Southern Premier Division, which is only 2 tiers below the Barclays Women’s Super League.
