ARGLYE maintained their excellent start to the National Education League with a 3-1 victory at Portsmouth on Wednesday.
The Pilgrims started brightly, opening the scoring when a delightful free-kick from Fletcher Cook forced a fine save by the home ‘keeper but Alex Mills was on hand to slot in the rebound.
Portsmouth responded with a good header to make the half-time score 1-1 but the lead was restored when Cook again produced a delicious free-kick, this time hitting the post and Mills was again in the right place to score from close-range.
The win was sealed by a lovely individual goal from Morgan Parsonage and a super away performance before we welcome Crystal Palace at home next week.
