NCS GroupARGYLE Community Trust is about to launch our next NCS Summer Programme, starting this July. The National Citizen Service Programme (NCS) is a government-run platform aimed at 16/17 year olds. It consists of a three-week voluntary package, including a two-week residential and a minimum of 30 hours spent delivering your Social Action Project (SAP).

Argyle Community Trust allocates 180 places for young people to get on board with NCS and grasp the opportunity to get ahead with fresh experiences. All individuals learn new skills, such as teambuilding, which not only makes you more employable and contributes an invaluable addition to your CV, but also allows you to make new friends in a safe environment.

The sixth wave kicks off on August 8th with the first residential in Penryn, Cornwall. Here, individuals will partake in exciting activities, such as Archery, Rock Climbing, Zip Wire, and Kayaking. After the adventurous first half of your residential, the wave continues to Marjon University in Plymouth, which is where the home residential takes place. From the 15th to the 19th of August, activities such as Gauge Walking, Caving and Surfing will allow you to face your fears and develop new friendships, all in the same exhilarating environment.

The second half of your project consists of your SAP project and its delivery. This is the time to make your mark in your very own community. All the fun and skills you have learnt in the previous two weeks enable you to step up and deliver your very own Social Action Project.

For just £50, NCS takes you on the adventure of a lifetime, which includes a great two-week long residential stay, including all food, travel, activities and accommodation. It also provides a range of risk-taking activities, which enables learning and development. Lastly, your very own Graduation Ceremony is included for you and your team to enjoy a well-earned reward for doing something valuable and inspirational for your community.

You haven’t missed this irreplaceable opportunity yet. If you want to get involved, make new friends and gain an invaluable qualification then sign up now.
