Open Trials for Girls ADC

PLYMOUTH Argyle will hold open trials for young female footballers to join our Girls Advanced Development Centre.

The trials will be staged at Stoke Damerel Community College on Wednesday, July 5 from 6.30pm – 8.30pm and open to girls aged from 7 – 15 years of age. Successful trialists will be invited to the second phase on Wednesday, July 12.

Girls in our ADC programme participate in regular competitive fixtures against other professional football clubs, ensuring the high level of technical development employed on the training ground is displayed in a real game environment.

We have now introduced a clear pathway for female players within the Plymouth Argyle structure, with potential further opportunities to join the Plymouth Argyle Ladies team and also the Girls Football Academy for school-leavers, which is run in partnership with City College Plymouth.

An Overview of the ADC

Venue – Training will be held at Stoke Damerel Community College and Manadon

Training – Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm running in school terms from September to May

Fixtures – We will play in an Elite Girls Centre League, playing fixtures midweek during school holidays so that they do not interfere with grassroots team fixtures, or ACC games.

Staff – All head coaches are minimum FA Level 2 qualified, with some holding UEFA B (Level 3).  We have a Goalkeeper specific coach and a Sports Therapist who can work with players to help treat and aid recovery from injuries.

Commitment – We expect players to attend every training session and fixture, other than due to illness/injury. Fixture dates are confirmed early in the season, so parents/players are able to organise half-term/holiday plans, as we understand some will go away during these times.

Cost – The cost is approximately £150-200 for the entire season. This includes all training and fixtures (as well as most coach transport to longer away fixtures), access to the Sports Therapist and other events/festivals throughout the season.

For any more information please contact PL Girls Officer Bow Jackson on bow.jackson@pafc.co.uk or call 01752 562561 ext.4.
