A SUPERB performance by Argyle’s south central squad in the National Education League earned them an impressive 5-1 victory at home to Crystal Palace.
Jack Dixon opened the scoring on two minutes, making a late run from midfield to finish off a well-worked move. Dixon then added his second with a sweetly-struck free-kick.
Number three was scored by Nathan Cole from a corner before Palace reduced the arrears on the stroke of half-time. Any thoughts of a fightback were quashed by Kobi Cox making it 4-1 and Jake Stevenson added late gloss to the scoreline.
Argyle’s other squad based at Home Park were unlucky in going down to a 2-1 loss at Birmingham City, but special mention to Jake Anderson for a sizzling 30-yard strike to score our goal.
