ARGYLE’S EFL Kids made a great impression in their EFL Tournament at Wycombe Wanderers’ Adams Park ground on Monday. The team from Elburton performed superbly to win the Plymouth tournament and progress to this stage.

Fourteen teams took part in the regional event, which was split into two groups of seven. Teams from Stevenage, Exeter, Luton, Cambridge, Wycombe and Colchester all attended the tournament.

The EFL Trust is a national charity that uses football to change lives and they work in partnership with Argyle. The programme seeks to improve health, inspire education, reduce crime and tackle many difficult issues such as drug abuse and homelessness. The programme builds on improving four key areas: sport, education, inclusion and health.

Argyle’s EFL Team played a great tournament against all teams and defeated Stevenage 1-0. However, Colchester and Wycombe went on to the semi-finals. Despite the result, the Argyle EFL team played very well and thoroughly enjoyed the tournament.

Congratulations to Sam Joce for scoring the goal and to the team for their great work.
