ARGYLE Community Trust is delighted to announce the Girls Advanced Development Centre will be back for its third year, and will see the centre increase to four different age groups with the introduction of a new under 10s section.
The Centre, which falls under the Argyle Community Trust team, is now open to talented under 10s, 12s, 14s and 16s, and runs alongside the Devon FA Centre of Excellence. It also boasts close links to the Plymouth Argyle Ladies first team who play in the FA Women’s Premier League Southwest Division One, and the newly established PAFC Ladies Reserve Team. Young females have made the step-up, progressing through the age groups and eventually into the Ladies’ squad in recent times.
We run weekly, from late September to June each year from our base at Ivybridge Community College on the 3G every Wednesday Night 6:30-8:30pm. Matches this year will be contested in a newly formed half-term Elite League, including PL/EFL teams like AFC Bournemouth, Swansea City, Portsmouth, Swindon Town and more, alongside other female represented teams in the local area.
Argyle Community Trust is holding a trial night for the centre at Stoke Damerel Community College on Wednesday 1st September 6-8pm, with all females aged 8-16 free to come and trial to gain a place in the development centre for the upcoming year. The night will consist of small-sided games, so the coaches can gauge ability levels of all potential players (address below):
