Reading Fixture Nominated as Designated Project 35 Match Day

Argyle’s Sky Bet League One fixture against Reading on Saturday, 31 October has been selected as the first dedicated Project 35 match day of the 2026/27 season.

Our award-winning social impact project, in partnership with our principal partner, Ginsters, continues to make a difference across Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall, and once again we are calling on the Green Army and our wider communities to help support those facing food insecurity, poverty and isolation.

If you have the means, we are encouraging supporters attending Home Park to donate in-date, non-perishable food items and essential hygiene products. All donations will help Project 35 support vulnerable individuals and families through our Manadon Food Larder and wider food bank network.

From 9am until kick-off at 12.30pm, donations can be dropped off at the pink Project 35 gazebo outside the Babcock Devonport End. Volunteers from Pledge 35, Ginsters, and Argyle Community Trust will be on hand throughout the morning to collect donations and talk about the impact of the project.

For supporters unable to attend the match, The Hub at Foulston Park, in Devonport, is now a permanent donation point for Project 35. Donations can be dropped off, year-round, at the Common Ground Café on the first floor, allowing supporters to contribute whenever they can.

Those wishing to support the project financially can also donate via the dedicated Project 35JustGiving page – Project 35 – JustGiving.

Now in its fourth year, Project 35 continues to grow its impact across the region. During the 2025/26 season, the project distributed more than 20,400 items of food items, alongsidetonnes of fresh fruit and vegetables, to those in need, travelling more than 5,000 miles toensure we reached isolated communities. Dedicated fixtures generated an incredible £8,716 in donations and 3.21 tonnes of food, thanks to the outstanding generosity of our supporters and communities.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps us provide vital support to those who need it most.

Thank you, Green Army, for your continued and incredible support. Together, we can continue making a real difference in our communities.
