THE first step to defending Plymouth Argyle’s title in the National Championship for Walking Football will take place with a local tournament on Monday, April 11 between 7 – 9pm at Plymouth Goals Centre.
The winning team of this tournament will represent Argyle at the regional finals and compete against other clubs to progress on to the Walking Football National championships, which was hosted last year at England’s home training ground, St. George’s Park.
There will be a small entry fee of £20 per team for the tournament. It is advised teams are comprised of no more than seven players (five starters and two substitutes).
Walking Football is aimed at players aged over 50 and Argyle won the National title in 2016 with a team formed only few weeks before the event.
