We are holding parents’ evenings for all participants and their families to provide you with an insight into the NCS programme, meet the session leaders, learn about the various venues used in the project and have all your questions answered.
NCS is open to all 16 and 17-year-olds in England. It helps youngsters to build their skills for work and life, while taking on new challenges and meeting new friends.
It runs in the spring, summer and autumn. Participants will have a short time away from home and take part in a team project that will help your community.
NCS brings together young people from different backgrounds and helps them develop greater confidence, self-awareness and responsibility. It encourages personal and social development by working on skills like leadership, teamwork and communication.
Participants develop a social action project to deal with a local issue they are passionate about, and spend 30 hours putting the project into action in their community.

Wave 1: Tuesday, June 14th from 5.30-6.30pm
