ARGYLE Community Trust have begun actively recruiting for the September 2018 intake of students for the Post-16 Football Development and Education programmes  based at Home Park and Carn Brea in Cornwall.

This full-time course encourages talented young footballers not currently linked to a professional club to enhance their development as players through quality coaching led by a team of highly qualified UEFA coaches. At the same time, experienced vocational tutors will ensure the students gain a full qualification for higher education and future employment.

Students will be studying for an examined qualification equivalent to three A-levels, which focuses around all aspects of sport and prepares them for higher education.

Working with a top coaching team and sport scientists, our students involved in the playing programme will be living, preparing and competing like young professional footballers at levels appropriate to their ability. Football games will include league, cup and prestigious friendlies. This will give them the opportunity to showcase their talent against other Premier and Football League development players.

We have very close links with Marjon University, providing a full degree in football development and our students have progressed into higher education, scholarships in America and careers in the sports industry, including here at Plymouth Argyle.

For more information on the course beginning September 2018, please contact lee.britchford@pafc.co.uk for Plymouth and mike.foley@pafc.co.uk for Cornwall.
