ARGYLE Community Trust would like to thank Steve Medlin and Clarion Housing for the extremely kind donation of £1,000 to help support our PL Kicks programme.

Steve, a local volunteer and PAFC Season ticket holder, who had been involved in some great community work on behalf of Affinity Sutton (now Clarion Housing), was granted £1,000 for the charity of his choice, in relation to the terrific work he has carried out.

He’s chosen us and PL Kicks because the money will stay local. Steve has played football locally all his life, loves Argyle, sits in the Grandstand and admires the work we do in local areas of deprivation.

“It is a very kind and welcome donation to the Trust, enabling us to further broaden the appeal of our PL Kicks project,” said Community Cohesion Officer Dan Hart.

The complete local inclusion project, PL Kicks is in operation across both Devon and Cornwall at multiple satellites. ‘From the streets to the stadium’ is the project motto, as there are many examples of young PL Kicks participants who have gone on to become professional footballers.

Firstly, the project is about cutting crime and anti-social behaviour in the various areas it’s delivered in. Predominantly composing of football sessions, all participants are able to access further qualifications, courses and accreditations.

Please visit our PL Kicks page for all the courses and sessions we currently run in Plymouth and Cornwall.
