Support for Keyham community affected by cordoned zone

In light of the major incident in Keyham, Argyle Community Trust would like to offer our support to those affected in the community – alongside those already provided by Plymouth City Council and other partners within the city.

Manadon Sports and Community Hub opens a Community Café and Warm Space every Friday, to provide a free warm, safe, and welcoming space for the community. We would welcome anyone who is affected by the exclusion zone to attend if they wish.

The Community Café will be open on Friday, from 9:00am to 12:00pm, as well as offering a space for the community to get together, the facility will provide:

  • Free Hot food and drinks
  • Access to charging points to charge electronic devices
  • Free Wi-Fi access
  • A warm, heated space

Location: Manadon Sports and Community Hub, St Peters Rd, Plymouth PL5 3JG.

The Trust, having recently taken over management of the Brickfields Sports Centre, are providing access to the main car park on site to those affected by this incident and who require somewhere secure to park their vehicle during the 36-hour evacuation period, which began at 9:00am today.
