The Babcock Community Cup returns to Home Park!

Argyle Community Trust are delighted to announce the return of the Babcock Community Cup for local youth teams!

We are inviting your club to participate in this year’s competition at Home Park Stadium on Saturday, 10 May, and Sunday, 11 May 2025.

The competition, which is facilitated by Trust coaches, is open to all teams in the under-11 age group.

Last year’s event was a fantastic day for everyone involved and it inspired young boys and girls from across the region. A grand total of 873 players from 80 teams representing our local area took part and a whopping 391 goals were scored!

The day wouldn’t have been possible without the help of our amazing 52 volunteers from Babcock & other local partners such as Plymouth Boot Bank.

The day will be split into the following slot for each age group with 24 teams allowed per section:

  • Saturday, U8s from 9am-1pm
  • Saturday, U9s from 1pm-6pm
  • Sunday, U10s from 9am-1pm
  • Sunday, U11s from 1pm-6pm

Speaking on the return of the competition, Head of Participation at the Trust, Stewart Walbridge, said: “I am delighted to confirm the return of our Annual Babcock Community Cup hosted at Home Park this upcoming May.

“This event is a highlight in our annual calendar and is a great opportunity for young players to experience placing at Plymouth Argyle Football Club and gaining lifelong memories in collaboration with ourselves and Babcock.

“We are excited to welcome 96 teams across 48 hours to join us for a very competitive 2025 Babcock Community Cup!”

We are extremely grateful that this year’s event is once again being supported by international defence experts Babcock International Group.

Babcock made the 2023 and 2024 Community Cups possible through their ongoing partnership with Argyle Community Trust. Their amazing employees have also helped to volunteer and support throughout the weekend in previous years to help inspire young footballers.

There is a strict limit of 16 teams for each age group. The format will be a six-a-side tournament with no more than 12 players per squad. Each team will play at least five matches, lasting a minimum of 12 minutes per match. Mini-soccer rules will be applied during the matches. Each club are only permitted to enter two teams per age group. Our bookings team will check all club entries.
