THE Argyle Education League saw resounding victories for Liskeard and Wadebridge, as both also kept clean sheets.

Liskeard defeated City College 9-0, starting the game with a delightful finish from George Delamere in the opening seconds. Joel Peters and Chris Owen added further goals to make it 3-0 inside 20 minutes.

Connor Mote produced some fantastic saves for City College but even he could not withstand a second-half siege from Liskeard. Sami Humigain scored twice and there were also goals for Tim Ryan, Dan Hings, Will Tucker and Max Gilbert.

Wadebridge mirrored that clinical finishing with a 7-0 triumph over a spirited KEVICC side. Heavy conditions made it very difficult for both teams and superior physical presence proved a major factor for Wadebridge, who had a hat-trick from Rob Green, two for Harry Hambley and also goals from Elliott Dunnett and Tom Turner.

The Argyle Education Leagues involves seven schools and colleges across Devon and Cornwall, who all run football-based education programmes in partnership with Argyle Community Trust.
