THE good form continues for Argyle in the National Education League, as we recorded a solid 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Wednesday.

The only goal arrived on 25 minutes, when a long ball over the top found the run from Travis Skerton, who displayed excellent composure to slot a low finish past the advancing ‘keeper.

It was a terrific defensive display from the Pilgrims, restricting the visitors to limited opportunities and free-kick wizard Fletcher Cook was extremely unlucky not to double the lead with a delightful set-piece that struck the woodwork.

The challenge raises a few notches next week, as the team travel north to take on Liverpool in the National Cup and a reunion with the side who ended our run in the competition at the semi-final stage last season.
