A PULSATING game of football and a first league win of the season for the Plymouth Argyle Football Education squad based at Home Park.

It was a marvellous fightback from the young students, recovering from a goal conceded in the first minutes and being 2-0 down after 15 minutes to eventually win in dramatic fashion.

Headers from Liam Newell and Rhys Thompson made it 2-2 at the interval, and then Ewan Morgan struck immediately after the restart for an Argyle lead, only for Fulham to level again.

A great game was heading for a draw until we won a penalty six minutes from time and Jamie Roberts held his nerve to score from the spot. We move on to a difficult away trip to Portsmouth this week.

We are also delighted to say that three of our players attended an English Schools FA Under-18 trial and, as it stands, Ben Musslewhite and Tom Watson have been invited back for a further assessment.
