AS part of the growing PL4 Sport project run by Argyle Community Trust, we are delighted to announce the launch of a brand new Plymouth Argyle Netball team.

Our Girls will compete in the Plymouth & District Netball League, starting from next week, and will have the support of everyone at Home Park in this new adventure.

Following on from the success of our running club, the team will be made up of girls from Year 7 and 8, playing in a competitive League structure at the Life Centre in Plymouth.

“It is fantastic to see the Argyle Community Trust continuously growing and introducing sport to young people across our region,” said Argyle Chief Executive Martyn Starnes.

“We are delighted to welcome the netball team into the Argyle family and I am sure they will wear the famous Green shirt with the same pride as all our footballers enjoy on a Saturday afternoon.”

We hope this new club will encourage more and more young people to take up netball, with the draw of playing for Plymouth Argyle a real attraction for different potential players around the city.

PL4 Sport emerged from a new partnership between Sport England and the Premier League, formed with the commitment to engage young people across the country and introduce sport to everyone.

The team training night is hosted at Plymouth High School for Girls on Thursdays during term time from 5-6pm, and is open to all aged 12-25 (Current team for fixtures aged under 13’s only).

Argyle Community Trust currently runs free sporting sessions in athletics, boxing, netball, badminton, hockey and table tennis.

We also have availability for casual coaches to join our PL4 Sport team in delivering these sessions. For more information, please contact Ryan Hooper on 01752 562561 or email ryan.hooper@pafc.co.uk
