Celebrating the 2025 Babcock Community Cup

Back in May, we saw the return of the annual Babcock Community Cup for a brilliant weekend of football.

This year at Plymouth Argyle’s Home Park Stadium, 96 teams took to the pitch in our Community Cup across Saturday and Sunday.

1058 children took part, which saw 571 goals scored and 93 clean sheets. A massive well done to every player!

24 teams took part in each age group, and they treated us to some outstanding football once again!

Saturday saw U8s and U9s teams grace the turf, and it was Create FC and MAP Juniors who came out victorious for their respective age groups.

It was the U10s and U11s’ turn to bring their expert skills to Home Park on Sunday, and after a long day of exciting football, Hayle FC (U10s) and Inter City (U11s) were crowned the day’s winners.

Head of Participation, Stewart Walbridge, said: “It was a real pleasure to reintroduce the Babcock Community Cup at Home Park last weekend with 96 teams engaging in the event from the U8s-U11s bracket.

“This year saw four different clubs win each section of the competition. The event engaged 1058 individuals who were given the opportunity to play on the Home Park surface across the weekend.

“This wonderful event would not have been possible without the support of our partners, Babcock, who once again sponsored the event and made it so special for our participants. A big thank you also goes to the football club, who allow us to gain access to the pitch at the end of the season.

“Finally, a special mention to the Argyle Community Trust staff and the volunteers from Babcock who came together to collaborate and provide an amazing provision for children, managers, and family members on a special weekend!”

We would once again like to thank Babcock International Group for their unwavering support, not just for the Community Cup but on the Trust’s wider activations.
