Excitement is building for the inaugural Green Army Fun Run taking place in Central Park, Plymouth on Saturday, 14 October. If you are thinking of getting involved, you must be quick! There are fewer than 100 spaces left for what promises to be a superb occasion for all the family.
Runners will be raising money for Project 35, our award-winning social impact project, in partnership with Ginsters, aimed at tackling poverty in the region. The run is open to people of all abilities over the age of 18, but we would like to encourage friends and family along to enjoy the day and take part in the range of fun activities available.
Trust staff are setting up a special Athletes Village on the Central Park tennis courts and football pitch. This will act as an information and warm-up point for runners but will also contain a range of activities to keep the family entertained including a blow-up football arena, penalty shootout, and games for adults and kids to enjoy while they wait to cheer you over the finish line. Argyle’s very own VIP Pilgrim Pete will also be there, ready to celebrate with you and pose for photos.
To help raise further funds there will be a raffle with a chance to win Argyle match tickets, a ball signed by the first team, an Argyle home shirt, a Trust Soccer Roadshow pass, and a voucher for Boringdon Golf Club.
Hot and cold refreshments will be available for family and friends at Central Park Hub throughout the day, making this an event for everyone.
Entry is £10 per runner; we then ask that you raise a minimum of £35 in sponsorship with all money going to Project 35. Your sponsorship will directly fund meaningful community work in our local areas.
