ARGYLE Community Trust are about to launch their next NCS Programme, starting this October. The National Citizen Service Programme (NCS) is a government-run platform aimed at 16/17 year olds. It consists of a seven-day voluntary package, including a four-day residential and three-day delivery of the chosen Social Action Project (SAP).

The government-run initiative, established in 2011, has seen 275,000 young people go through the programme. All individuals learn new skills, such as team-building, which not only makes you more employable and contributes an invaluable addition to your CV, but also allows you to make new friends in a safe environment.

NCS October commences on Friday, October 20 with the residential in Weymouth and Portland Adventure. Here, individuals participate in paddle boarding, sailing and windsurfing, as well as rock climbing and mountain biking over a four-day period. Once back in Plymouth, the SAP planning begins. The Social Action Project is the second half of the NCS wave and aims to give back to the community. The NCS qualification is highly regarded by universities and colleges alike, therefore the opportunity cannot be missed by students looking to boost their CV and personal statement.

Unlike the NCS Summer programme, which is completed over a three-week period, the October edition enables individuals to fast-track the experience and still come out with the exact same qualification.

For just £50, NCS October takes you on the adventure of a lifetime, which includes a great four-day long residential stay, including all food, travel, activities and accommodation. It also provides a range of risk-taking activities, which enables learning and development. Lastly, your very own Graduation Ceremony is included for you and your team to enjoy a well-earned reward for doing something valuable and inspirational for your own community.

With only a few places left, do not miss out on this incredible opportunity. Please contact our NCS team via dwain.morgan@pafc.co.uk / ryan.yeoman@pafc.co.uk or call 01752 562561 ext.4
