DEANE Smalley made a goal-scoring return to action in Argyle’s 3-3 draw at Penryn in the Peninsula League on Wednesday night.
After ten months on the sidelines following a serious knee injury, Smalley made an immediate impact for the young Pilgrims, scoring an equaliser after Penryn had taken an early lead.
Argyle dominated the early stages of the second-half and were cruising to victory when Louis Rooney made it 3-1 with a well-taken brace, but Penryn fought back valiantly to earn an unlikely point.
