Argyle Community Trust have been shortlisted for an award at the 2024 Sports Business Awards for Best Sports Community Scheme.
The nomination recognises the charity’s commitment to improving the health, wellbeing, employment, and education of the communities of Devon and Cornwall by inspiring people through sport.
In the 2023/24 season, the Trust engaged over 109,000 local people in an inclusive and diverse suite of programmes.
Mark Lovell, CEO at Argyle Community Trust, said: “We are dedicated to improving the lives of people in Plymouth, Devon, and Cornwall, where we work hard to create opportunities for disadvantaged people and communities, and underrepresented groups.
“We are extremely proud that our work engaging and helping people of all ages has been recognised once again.”
The nomination comes in a year where the Trust have already been named Community Champion at the 2024 Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce Awards, won Best Football Community Scheme, non-Premier League, at the 2024 Football Business Awards, and received a nominated for Best Corporate Social Responsibility Scheme for Project 35.
The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony at Old Billingsgate, London on Friday, 29 November.
