Students from Torpoint Community College joined us for a fantastic day, finding out more about the life of a professional footballer and spending time with their heroes from a Saturday afternoon.
The Year 10 students arrived at Home Park for 9.30am, enjoying a ground tour before watching the first-team train with their teacher Matt Evans. Argyle manager Derek Adams also spent time with the group, talking about his role at the club and ambitions for this season.
“It was a great experience for the students and we are grateful to the manager and players for kindly giving up their time,” said Argyle Community Trust Football Development Manager Jason Chapman.
“Working inside a professional football club is a great privilege and it’s very special for us to provide youngsters with a glimpse of life at Home Park, which hopefully acts as an inspiration for the students who are heading into a vital period in their education.”
