2014-04-10 09-27-33 - 100_0539STAND aside Bradley Wiggins, now is the time for the Argyle riders to squeeze on the lycra and set forth on the road to stardom.

The annual Pedal 4 Pounds charity bike rides commences on Wednesday and our team of riders finally get to put months of training, preparation and pasties into practise.

This year, we are taking on the South West challenge of visiting nine professional clubs in four days.

The epic journey will take us from Swansea City to Cardiff City, Newport County, Bristol City, Bristol Rovers, Yeovil Town, Exeter City, Torquay United and, finally, a triumphant return to Home Park here in Plymouth.

We are raising money for the Chestnut Appeal for Prostate Cancer, as well as supporting the Argyle Community Trust and the Green Taverners’ good causes. The 2015 Pedal 4 Pounds event raised £13,900 for charity and the ambition for this year is to smash this record.

The ride concludes with a celebratory lap of the Home Park pitch during half-time of the pivotal first-team game against Dagenham & Redbridge this weekend.
