Reign Media Group sponsor Argyle Ashbury youngsters at the 2022 Somerset Cup

The Argyle Community Trust team in North Devon will be taking young footballers from our Ashbury Centre of Excellence to the Somerset Cup over the Jubilee Weekend thanks to the generosity of our friends at Reign Media Group.

Our lucky under 7’s, 8’s, 9’s and 10’s will be competing in the tournament in June on the stunning Somerset coast. Games will take place at the state-of-the-art facilities at Hutton Moor Sports & Leisure Centre in Weston-Super-Mare, whilst the group will be able to enjoy the incredible four-star facilities at Holiday Resort Unity in Brean Sands.

The youngsters are coached by experienced Argyle staff and train each week at Ashbury, giving them perfect preparation for the weekend of football. Teams will play up to five matches each day with the winner taking away the prestigious Somerset Cup 2022.

The experience has been made possible thanks to the support of the Reign Media Group who are sponsoring our Ashbury Centre of Excellence teams for the tournament.

Reign Founder & CEO Jean-Pierre du Toit adds: “I am proud to be supporting the young footballers at the wonderful Centre of Excellence in Ashbury. It’s great to be involved and to give the talented youngsters opportunities to compete. I was so pleased to see the Under 7’s win their most recent tournament and to see their development.

I was introduced to the centre by Gary Jeffrey who had previously been my coach at Duchy College. I have been impressed with the set-up, coaches and especially the quality, enthusiasm, and attitude of the young footballers. I wish everyone all the very best in the upcoming Somerset Cup.”

Liam Bryant, Centre of Excellence Manager for North Devon and Cornwall adds: “We are extremely dedicated to providing the talented young people of this fantastic community with more life experience and opportunities than ever before. This can only be achieved by the collective efforts of coaches, parents, players, and sponsors. This will be the first of a brand new programme we will look to introduce for future young footballers in the region!

Gary Jeffrey, Argyle Community Trust Regional Manager for East Cornwall and North Devon, adds: “The boys are looking forward to what is sure to be a fantastic weekend. The fact that it is the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Weekend makes it extra special. They are so excited, and we want them to enjoy the experience.

This wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of Reign. We are so grateful to Jean-Pierre, the coaches here at Ashbury, the parents, and our other sponsors for making this possible.”
