THE success of Argyle’s Walking Football programme is spreading faster than we could ever imagine, as our new centre in Cornwall continues to grow in stature and popularity.
Running since October, our new centre in St Austell is well attended every week and a highly competitive sport, which has even attracted the attention of local media outlets.
“We are delighted with the progress of Walking Football in Cornwall and would love to see more people joining in with this growing sport,” said Lead Coach Neil Slateford.
“Walking Football is designed for players over the age of 50 and all rules are the same as a normal game of football, except for the crucial stipulation that no running is allowed but, even at walking pace, the passion for success remains as high as ever.”
Every Thursday evening from 5pm – 6pm, starting from September 17
Based at St Austell Rugby Club
£3 per session
