PLYMOUTH Argyle climbed to third in the Division 1 West table and it was all down to a superb first-half performance from the Pilgrims at Seale Hayne.

St Dennis struggled to cope with the youngsters in the early stages and found themselves three goals down at the interval after a brace from the excellent Billy Craske and a strike by Dan Rooney.

Much to their credit, St Dennis found another gear after the break and scored two quickfire goals via a Steve Wheatley penalty and a Lee Rickard penalty, forcing Argyle to soak up some sustained pressure to avoid an unwanted fightback. Callum Hall eventually allayed those fears with a fourth for the Pilgrims.
