Argyle Community Trust is proud to be supporting Stonewall’s Rainbow Laces Campaign to support inclusion across sport and fitness. Jason Chapman, Argyle Community Trust Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead, adds, “The Trust has a proud history of inclusion and operates an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) working group to ensure the support of all of our communities. We work incredibly hard to ensure we make anyone feel welcome, including recently starting our first LGBTQ+ Football Team.”
At the weekend, Plymouth Argyle Women FC dedicated their fixture against London Bee’s to the campaign, with both teams wearing rainbow colours on their laces and captains armbands.
To mark Rainbow Laces Day, this afternoon the Plymouth and Cornwall Post 16 Education teams will be playing their dedicated fixtures against Crystal Palace Volenti and Newport County A respectfully. Check out social media later today for photos from the games.
On Monday 13th December, Manadon Sports and Community Hub will be hosting a special football fixture in support of the Rainbow Laces Campaign between the Trust’s PL Kicks team and Adwack United.
If anyone is interested in the work we do or would like any further information about anything relating to EDI, please contact Jason Chapman on Jason.chapman@pafc.co.uk.
