Argyle Community Trust team up with Her Game Too anti-sexism initiative

Argyle Community Trust are delighted to announce that Plymouth Argyle Women General Manager Elaine Dalton-Fyfe has been chosen as Ambassador for a new partnership with Her Game Too, which aims to raise awareness of sexist abuse within the realms of football.

The Trust join a number of clubs from the EFL and beyond to commit to the cause, creating further awareness to the problems faced in football by females.

Her Game Too was founded by 12 passionate female football fans who are committed to growing the campaign with the aim of fostering an ethos in football in which women are welcomed and respected equally.

The non-profit organisation aims to create awareness, educate, research, develop a strong sense of community, and create strong relationships with clubs, among much more.

Further aims include creating regular content to champion women in football, including players, staff and fans, creating strong relationships with club trusts and communities, having a presence at football grounds and sports bars to build a more welcoming environment for young girls and women as well as continuing to campaign against sexism in football and online abuse.

Plymouth Argyle Women General Manager and new Her Game Too Ambassador Elaine Dalton-Fyfe said: “I am delighted to be appointed as the Her Game Too Ambassador for Argyle Community Trust. I want to use this position to help stamp out sexism in football at all levels. I want to be the point of contact in the Trust for players, staff, and fans who are experiencing sexism within football of any kind. Respect and equality should be offered to everyone, and no one has the right to make another human feel inadequate or worthless.

“Football is a great game and should be enjoyed by all no matter their background. I will work closely with Her Game Too and local charities and organisations such as Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and the LGBTQ+ community to help spread awareness and promote positive action.”
