kicks-3-4x386-2477807ARGYLE face a mouthwatering home clash with fourth-placed Penryn Athletic in the Peninsula League on Saturday.

The Pilgrims are currently sat in second behind runaway leaders Mousehole in Division 1 West but there are only two points between us and Penryn, with Sticker wedged in the middle in third place.

The Argyle Academy also have a fixture at Luton Town on the weekend and with a few injuries in the Green ranks, it could be a fantastic opportunity for new players to shine in the spotlight of a big occasion.

“We want to win all our games and it’s only a big game because it’s the next game,” said Head Coach Kevin Nancekivell. “Penryn are breathing down our necks and a good side, so we will need to be at our best.

“There are two games for the Academy players on Saturday, with the Merit League game away at Luton and our match with Penryn. We have three long-term injuries from the Academy and Education programme, which does stretch the resources.

“The positive for us is that plenty of people are getting an opportunity to show what they can do in a competitive environment, which can only be beneficial to their development as footballers.”
