ARGYLE suffered an unfortunate defeat at Birmingham City in their latest round of fixtures in the National Education League.

Travis Skerton continued his fine form with the opener for Argyle, as we deservedly led 1-0 at the interval but two quickfire goals from the hosts proved very costly.

Managers Lee Hodges and Matt Scholes conceded a ‘bad 15 minutes’ cost them the game, as Birmingham scored twice early in the second half and, despite creating numerous chances, the Pilgrims returned home with a frustrating defeat.

Next on the list is a home game with Wycombe Wanderers on Wednesday and for anyone looking to attend the National Education League fixtures, home games are staged at Saltmill in Saltash and generally a 1.30pm kick-off.
