We are extremely grateful to announce that the lower grass pitch at Foulston Park will now be lit up by floodlights provided by Prolectric – the UK’s Leading Solar Lighting Company.
Prolectric have made the extremely generous donation of three free high-powered floodlights to ensure our staff can continue to deliver their excellent work throughout the winter period.
Thanks to Prolectric’s goodwill and generosity, we can continue to hold community sessions in the late hours and maintain our winter programmes for those who need them. We will have full use of the floodlights until Spring 2025 when the lighter evenings return to us.
A spokesperson for Prolectric Ltd stated: “We are delighted to be supporting Argyle Community Trust by lighting their community pitches with our Solar Tower Lights.”
“Providing bright high-quality light powered entirely by solar means these lights operate with zero diesel fumes, zero noise, and zero emissions. This ensures that those using the pitches, as well as those in the surrounding areas, will benefit from silent and emission-free operation.
“Argyle Community Trust plays a vital role within the local community, and we are proud to be able to make a contribution to support this positive impact.”

By lighting up the lower pitch at Foulston Park, Prolectric are not only ensuring the continuation of our winter community sessions, but they are also supporting us in the continued development of our local community.
The installation of the floodlights will allow plans to lay down a new astroturf pitch at Foulston Park, to advance. The floodlights will also mean that Plymouth Albion Rugby Club can continue training on their home turf whilst renovations on the new pitch begin.
The astroturf will have a hugely positive community impact right in the heart of Devonport.
It will help us to continue our vitally important work, providing support for vulnerable communities, young people with disabilities, and young people prone to crime and antisocial behaviour.
The addition of the astroturf is further proof of our commitment to supporting the local community and it only adds to the fantastic list of facilities we will have available at The Hub at Foulston Park.
Dwain Morgan, Head of Business Development at the Trust, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Prolectric and would like to thank them for the generosity they have shown us. The plans for a new astroturf at Foulston Park can now progress thanks to their support, and once built, it will enable us to support the vulnerable groups in our community for generations.”
We are incredibly grateful to Prolectric for making this process possible and we look forward to working with them closely in the future.
