Argyle Community Trust
ARGYLE Community Trust has provided a superb programme in football development to a group of youngsters from as far apart as Sidmouth in Devon to Florida, USA.
The students enjoyed a full week-long programme, receiving two-hour sessions every day, under the guidance of Gary Jeffery, Assistant Football Development Officer for North Devon and Cornwall.
It was a terrific experience for the players from Florida to sample English football and the topics covered included Street Soccer, Courver Football, 11-a-side, Indoor Futsal and games against local teams and schools.
“They all worked extremely hard in the sessions and the games were impressively high in both intensity and quality,” said Gary. “From a technical aspect, we worked on shooting, passing, switching play, communication in a game and playing out from the back.
“A terrific week concluded with the students attending the recent Argyle first-team game against Luton Town at Home Park.”
