ARGYLE Community Trust this week celebrated the National Citizen Service Graduation Ceremony at Plymouth Guildhall.

The fantastic event provided the opportunity for graduates to meet up with team-mates, their NCS leaders, as well as family and friends. This summer, Argyle saw 273 young people complete the scheme and celebrate their summer of achievement.

Guests of Honour, Local MPs Chaz Singh and David Downey, attended the special ceremony, as well as Argyle first-team players Gary Sawyer and Ryan Brunt, who greeted the individuals with their certificates. It was a memorable occasion for Argyle Community Trust to congratulate the 2016 NCS Participants on their outstanding attitude and application towards the programme.

This summer of NCS raised over £4 000 for local charities, such as St Luke’s Hospice, The Neo Natal Unit, The Gold Dust Appeal, CLIC Sargent and many more. The young graduates presented their chosen charities with cheques on stage to celebrate the impressive amount of fundraising achieved this summer.

As well as the 8,190 SAP (Social Action Project) hours spent by young people across the city, who gave back to their own community, they achieved a well-recognised qualification to add to their CV and UCAS applications.

To not miss out on this unforgettable opportunity again, enrol on NCS October with Plymouth Argyle. For just £35, the October programme commences on the 21st October for a four-day stay in Weymouth and then a three-day event to give back to your own community.
