THE Plymouth Argyle Football Education programme welcomed illustrious hosts for an intriguing fixture on Wednesday afternoon.
Our counterparts from Chelsea Football Club made the long journey down and it turned out to be a very tight game of football, as neither side could find a breakthrough in a 0-0 draw.
“We had a few injuries and one lad on his driving test, so we entered the game without a recognised striker,” said the coaching team of Lee Hodges and Matt Scholes.
“Like us, Chelsea had won one and lost one, and we knew it would be a close game. The boys worked their socks off and a very even contest. We defended extremely well and, perhaps with some lady luck, could have found the winner but it wasn’t to be.”
