ARGYLE Community Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, charismatic and dedicated person to organise and deliver our Women and Girls’ Football Development programme. The position is a dual role working with Plymouth City Council’s Sports Development Unit.

PL Girls Job Specification

The position will be based in Plymouth, however at times you may need to work outside the city boundary, dependent on the demands of the programmes. The candidate will be expected to work evenings and weekends, and have an understanding of young people’s needs.

As a registered charity, the Community Trust works, in close conjunction with Plymouth Argyle Football Club, with many people across several sectors where sport has proven to be the ideal tool for creating lasting education and engagement with individuals.

The candidate must have good, in-depth knowledge of Women and Girls football and the barriers which may affect their participation. The candidate must be good at partnership working, with an understanding of satellite and community clubs. Experience of football and multi-sports coaching in a wide range of settings, including youth centres, schools, estates, community clubs, FE and HE settings and in varied age groups from 7 – 19 years old is essential.

We would also expect the candidate to have experience within the field of Sports Development and coaching, as well as being computer literate.

The candidate must also understand the importance of monitoring and evaluation and be confident in ICT and data entry. This is a part of the role which will help develop the Trust’s reports and feedback to its multiple partners.

The post is full-time and is offered on a 12 month fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension, subject to future funding.

If you can meet the specifications and would like to become part of the Argyle Community Trust team, please send CV and a covering letter to:
