Presentation Evening

IT was a pleasure to welcome over 180 coaches, players and parents to the Tribute Lounge at Home Park, as Argyle Community Trust’s Girls Advanced Development Centre teams (ADC) and Plymouth Argyle Ladies gathered to celebrate a great season.

The decision to bring the age groups and senior teams together was a clear example of the all-inclusive approach by the club, with our clear pathway from the very youngest through to the Ladies first-team.

The evening was opened by Argyle Ladies Chairman Christopher French welcoming all and giving an appraisal of the excellent season both Ladies teams have had, with the first-team and reserves being runners-up in their respective divisions and both teams having the league top scorers.

After the awards evening, Argyle Ladies manager Travis Rowland praised the spirit of all the girls within the club: “I am so lucky in having a bunch of girls, who are pulling in the same direction. You often get little groups forming, which can cause friction. Not with this bunch of girls, who are all buying into what we are trying to do.”

A final word of thanks to our magnificent group of partners for donating a number of raffle prizes to complete a special evening.

These included toboggan tickets from the JNL Plymouth Ski and Snowboard Centre, tickets for UK Paintball, a VIP experience at Pryzm Plymouth, entry to the National Marine Aquarium, VIP experience at Popworld Plymouth, family ticket to the Eden Project, family ticket for the Plymouth Raiders, wine and chocolates from Tesco and a whole lot more.

Thanks to everyone for their donations.
