Sports and Coaching Programme Open Day

ARGYLE Community Trust will be holding a dedicated Open Day for students interested in joining our Sports and Coaching Programme in partnership with Sir John Hunt Community Sports College.

The two-year course provides a fantastic insight to the inner workings of the sporting industry and students enrolled on the programme will be given the full benefits of experiencing life inside a professional football club.

The day will be supported by our partners at the PFA via their Unionlearn ‘Achievement Through Sport’ programme.

Students will be working toward a BTEC Level 2 and 3 in Sport, a qualification that can lead to our full degree programme at Marjon, scholarship opportunities in America and a fulfilling career in sport.

Alongside the academic elements, students on the course will be given regular training with our UEFA qualified coaches and compete in the Argyle Education League against Colleges based across Devon and Cornwall.

Our Open Day will be held in the Pilgrim Centre at Home Park on Saturday, August 12, starting at 11.30am. We will provide full information on the course, as well as a coaching session and interested students will then be invited to join us for the League 1 match between Plymouth Argyle and Charlton Athletic.
