Education TeamFOR  a number of players on the Argyle Community Trust Education programme, competitive football started weeks ago with our involvement in the Peninsula League but a number of our scholars kick-off their season with an intriguing trio of matches on Wednesday.

The first-team travel to Premier League outfit AFC Bournemouth, while the second-team are at home to Chelsea and the thirds welcome Redruth.

The games are naturally the highlight of a busy week that will begin with goalkeepers from the Education programme receiving a training master-class from Argyle custodian James Bittner, while many of the outfield players will work on specific strength training and tactics to aid their success in Wednesday’s fixtures.

The week concludes with a specialised session on technique development and the scholars will also spend a couple of days in the classroom working on the educational side of their course.
