IN partnership with Morrisons, Argyle Community Trust is delighted to announce the launch of a new scheme exploring the exciting activities of The Smoothie Bike Company.
Morrisons have kindly donated £2,000 to the project, enabling us to purchase two branded smoothie bikes for promoting the importance of healthy lifestyle in the community.
The Smoothie Bike Company is a dynamic activity which primarily focuses on the importance of health and wellbeing in a fun, engaging and effective way. The smoothie bikes are stationary cycles which use pedalling energy from the cyclist to power a blender sitting over the front of the wheel.
The Smoothie Bike Company enables learners to cycle to blend their own 100% fruit smoothies, whilst also getting the opportunity to pedal a generator bike that creates electricity.
Due to Morrisons’ kind act to purchase these Smoothie Bikes in partnership with Plymouth Argyle, the club will own two branded bikes which will be available to rent to other businesses and workplaces.
Argyle can utilise these bikes to stimulate and encourage the significance of a healthy and active lifestyle. Smoothie Bikes have been immensely popular at wellbeing events and we plan to promote this in the future in partnership with Morrisons.
