A GREAT effort from the Plymouth Argyle Cornwall Education Squad, as they went down 1-0 away at table-toppers City College Plymouth and a very debatable penalty the only difference between the two sides.
Before the goal, PAFC Cornwall probably edged the clear chances with Lewis Clapham bringing a smart save from the home ‘keeper and, seconds later, Cam Searle shaving the post with a drive from 20 yards.
Searle should have opened the scoring just before the goal when he snatched at a shot from six yards with time to spare. After the goal, City College could have extended their lead, as Cornwall searched for an equaliser but ‘keeper Callum Richards and his back three stood firm.
There was also a last-minute 25 yard shot from Sonny Dover that looked goal bound but a great save from the City College custodian denied us a late point.
